This AOCMF course offers intense hands-on training in reconstructing complex orbital defects and deformities created by malignancy or trauma

World leaders in this field of orbital reconstruction will guide participants in lectures, panel discussions and step-by-step hands-on 3D model surgery, navigation and computer planning exercises.

Participants are instructed in workflow from preoperative imaging analysis to virtual surgical planning, prefabrication of customized implants, and the use of intraoperative navigation and intraoperative imaging.

- Computer, virtual planning workshops

- Trumatch workshop (bone model exercises - zygoma/orbit)

- Navigation and intraoperative imaging demonstrations

Learning objectives
Recognize different types of orbital pathologies and deformities
Identify the most appropriate diagnostic tools
Select the appropriate treatment plan for the individual patient and problem
Select specific and appropriate surgical procedures, and apply skills acquired from the course in their daily practice
Understand the workflow of computer assisted surgery to reconstruct the orbit and can use it in practice.
