COURSE CANCELLED
Comprehensive 3D analysis and planning of complex acquired and congenital deformities of the craniofacial skeleton.
The course is structured in three main topics:
1.) Techniques
2.) Acquired Deformities including posttraumatic and postablative deformities
3.) Congenital Deformities
Each topic will be subdivided into four defined anatomical units including “craniofacial”, “midface and orbits”, “mandible and TMJ”, and “panfacial”. The Faculty will analyze, teach, present, and discuss representative cases together with the participants according to the “AOCMF” principle:
A…to Analyze the deformity
O…to set Objectives
C…to plan Computer-assisted
M…to Manage the case
F…to perform Final quality control und Follow-up
The course will be delivered in three main ways:
Comprehensive lectures on each topic and each anatomical unit will be accompanied by representative cases in order to concentrate on the understanding of core material. Practical sessions and demonstrations will teach the application of a structured approach to understanding and diagnosing complex deformities including digitalized clinical information, DICOM data interpretation and analysis, 3D planning and simulation, patient-specific implants including TMJ, and the underlying AO principles. Video demonstrations will be used to supplement the practical exercises. Discussions will be held throughout the course to link the lecture material and practical skills taught with the problems encountered by the course participants in their individual practice.
