Description

The goal of the course is to learn the topographic anatomy of the orbit and its surgical approaches. The topics will be taught in lectures, plenary discussions, practical exercises on human anatomical specimens as well as through computer planning.

Learning objectives
Describe the topographic anatomy for surgical approaches to the orbit
Describe the soft and hard tissue surgery around the orbit
Outline the different types of surgical approaches to the orbit
Select the appropriate upper and lower eyelid incisions for optimal access to orbital fractures
Perform the common approaches to the orbit
Perform the key steps in coronal and temporal flaps
Select the appropriate flap for soft tissue orbital defect
